First of all, thank you for choosing Sudbury UPC! We are glad you have chosen to worship with us!
Here are the answers to some questions you may have:
If you are unfamiliar with Pentecostal worship, you may be surprised to discover that we love to praise God with clapping our hands, raising our hands, and other biblical forms of worship including the use of musical instruments such as the keyboard, drums and guitars. You may hear people praying in their own personal prayer language, just like in the Bible. You can also expect passionate preaching! See our sermons page for examples of our pastors' teaching. At the end of the service, we usually invite everyone to the front to pray and worship together. This is a time to really connect with God. You should expect to feel God, which many people find to be a deeply moving experience (Kleenex is provided!).
If you have children, our staff would be happy to introduce you to the children's ministry team and the Sunday School area. For younger toddlers and infants, we do have a nursery area with a changing table, crib and rocking chair, as well as a few toys.
The washrooms are to your far left as you enter the main sanctuary, with signs to direct you.
If you are arriving via transit, there is a bus stop right across the street, (Gary and Lasalle), and there is plenty of parking if arriving by car. We share parking with the building behind the church, so there is lots of room.
Although we expect our staff to dress up, we have plenty of folks that dress casual. We are a very down-to-earth church so please do not feel pressured to dress formally unless you wish to do so.
The main entrance has a canopy roof on the side of the building where you will be greeted by one of our friendly staff, who will offer you a guest card. We ask for your information (see privacy policy) so we can track attendance and send you a thank you card in the mail. Please use the back of the card to request any of the services we offer.
